About This Industrial and Manufacturing Energy Infrastructure Project

The Challenge

Pacific Western Sales’ facility roof could not support the weight of a standard full ballast system, requiring a lightweight mounting approach that would still provide strong, stable support for a large-scale rooftop solar array.

The Solution

NEI installed a non-penetrating IronRidge BX Hybrid Ballast System, using a hybrid roof attachment to keep the system lightweight while maintaining structural integrity. The system pairs 540-watt bifacial panels with APsystems QT2-480 micro-inverters, selected for their power production and 25-year warranty. This approach is consistent with IronRidge’s published engineering guidance for lightweight commercial roof mounting systems.
